Long gotten over the once yearly celebration and excitement of Christmas Season many many years ago as a young child, perhaps centered solely around and having something to do with learning the official and true identity of just who Santa Claus really was, I have now as a middle-aged adult, found and rediscovered that euphoric holiday feeling yet once again of long lost childhood. Minus the overall festive spirit and vibe normally experienced, I have found a comparable level of joy in receiving via special delivery, gifts by someone as equally jolly and friendly as old Saint Nick himself. Well sort of?
In all fairness I must say, that I did have prior knowledge that said gift delivered today was coming. I will also say that this packaged item was not a gift from another, but something of which I had purchased for myself. The receiving of goods at it's final destination, also did not come by result of sleigh and reindeer, but rather four wheels and an engine. Kris Kringle this day, has been replaced by the ever friendly and prompt service of the speedy FedEx delivery man.
Some new wheel components ordered from bicycle wheel manufacturer American Classic, arrived this afternoon and just in time too, with some mountain bike riding scheduled for this upcoming weekend. A new set of red anodized tubeless valve stems, designed specifically in use to create an air tight seal with American Classic tubeless wheels, quickly were unpacked and just as swiftly, installed and readied for impending off road use that awaits in a days time. A perfect fit and welcomed addition once added as seen below.
~ Of worthy note to mention, was the inclusion by the American Classic shipping staff of sending along a brand new 2012 catalog featuring all sorts of new cycling wheel designs, various components, and stylish cycling clothing available for immediate sale. Looking through the catalog chock full of many different cycling related items, has me yet once again thinking that, who says Christmas has to come only one time a year?
